What time is it? INDIE BOOK CONNECT TIME!…. This is a work in progress. ANYWAYS, I received the September Indie Book Connect box. The first item in this box is the reminder about the Goodreads club, which you can discuss the books in the boxes with others!

The first book in this box was Shattering Time by K.J. Waters and two postcards, one with her other two books in the series on it. This series is a two book series and unfortunately this is the second book in the series. There is also a short story in the series called Blow. Here is the excerpt of this book:

Ronnie Andrews returns from eighteenth century London shell-shocked from her first terrifying time travel encounter. Her boyfriend, Jeffrey Brennan, casts doubt on her sanity leaving Ronnie wondering if she went back in time or is having a mental breakdown.

To add to the tension, Hurricane Francis, a storm the size of Texas, is barreling towards Florida and her fears of a repeat time travel experience mount. Ronnie’s best friend Steph, along with her friend Nick and Steph’s younger brother Ian, shield Ronnie from the dangers of Francis but cannot save her from traveling back in time. Unfortunately, their meddling brings Ronnie to the brink of destruction as they are caught in the throes of the hurricane’s wrath.

Once again, Ronnie is transported to dangerous places and plagued with desperate situations, while experiencing perilous cultures including one of America’s first mysteries — the Lost Colony of Roanoke Island.

A stunning conclusion brings Ronnie face to face with a dangerous ally who may hold the key to her past while offering salvation for her future. – Amazon.com

The books are all available on Amazon. This book that was in the box is 14.99 and the first book in the series is also 14.99.

The last book in the book was The Cellomaker by J. Avram Werner. This book is available on Amazon for 11.50 and here’s an excerpt about it:

From politics to espionage to hidden secrets, the fate of an unforgettable military American family is begun in the 1st book of the Cellomaker series. The “General” – fierce patriarch. Daughter Sandi – haunted by memories of her past covert military excursions. Sons Richard, Jeffrey and John – their lives all intertwined in the most momentous events of the century. Their world begins to turn upside down with the shooting of a close friend. An action that releases secrets, long hidden in the folds of history, into the light of day . This is a story about family, friends and commitment. Ordinary people, as they perceive themselves, working to protect their lives, family and their nation – a page-turner. – Amazon.com

The last item in this box was this cute bookmark. I believe this bookmark is from a past book that was featured in the box but regardless the artwork is stunningly beautiful.

Verdict: While I love every box that Indie Book Connect gives me for free (because I rep for them) I was sad that I got the second book in the Stealing Time series and that I don’t have the first one. Otherwise I’m happy with the selections and especially the cute bookmark! Can’t wait for October’s box!
